At The Zero Phuket, giving back isn’t limited to one section of our website. It’s something we try to live out, one initiative at a time.
This year, our team laced up their shoes, grabbed some gloves and trash sacks (yes, they are second hand jute sacks), and joined thousands of volunteers around the world for World Cleanup Day, one of the largest civic environmental movements on the planet.
What Is World Cleanup Day?
World Cleanup Day is a global event held annually, bringing together millions of volunteers across more than 190 countries to clean up litter and waste from beaches, streets, rivers, and public spaces. What started as a small grassroots movement has grown into one of the world’s largest single-day civic actions for the environment.
A living and constant proof that when ordinary people show up with a simple goal, the impact can be extraordinary.
Why It Matters to The Zero Phuket
Phuket’s beaches and natural landscapes are part of what makes this island home, both for the people who live here and for the guests who visit. As a developer building homes in this community, we feel a responsibility that goes beyond bricks and mortar. A cleaner Phuket means a healthier place to live, a more sustainable environment for future generations, and a destination that continues to thrive.
What Our Team Did

On the day, staff from The Zero Phuket came together at Bang Tao Beach, a stone throw away from our The Zero Bang Tao project, to take part in the cleanup effort. Together, the team collected plastic waste and general trash from the shoreline.
It was a reminder of why this work matters, and a chance for our team to connect with the community we’re proud to be part of.
You Don’t Need a “World Cleanup Day” to Make a Difference
While World Cleanup Day gives the world a reason to come together on one specific date, the truth is you don’t need a global event to start. A weekend walk along the beach with a spare bag, a small effort to reduce single-use plastics, or simply encouraging a friend to join a local cleanup can all add up over time.
At The Zero Phuket, we hope this is just one of many such initiatives to come, and we encourage our community, our residents, and everyone reading this to take that small first step – whenever, wherever you are.
